Alice P. Lin, PhD, is an independent health and behavioral health consultant. She also teaches at Duke University and is affiliated with the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy and the Fuqua School of Business. Her consulting practice has extended to 23 states, with a focus on public sector restructuring, public/private partnerships, healthcare provider alliances, and new managed care approaches. Dr. Lin has developed integrated children services in Iowa, Delaware, Oklahoma and Ohio, including child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, mental retardation and substance abuse at the state and local levels.

Dr. Lin has over 30 years of professional experience, holds the MA degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and a PhD degree in Social Policy and Management from Columbia University. She has worked as a clinician, program manager, administrator and policy analyst in social services, health and mental health, mental retardation, development disabilities and aging services. She is the recipient of numerous awards, is active in international exchange programs, and writes mystery novels in her spare time.
